Terrorist wanted for killing of 18 soldiers in Manipur arrested

The National Investigation Agency has arrested one terrorist belonging to the KCP(N) from Manipur. The terrorist has been identified as Anil Sharma alias Meiraba, a resident of Manipur.

The NIA based on credible information arrested Sharma in a joint operation conducted with the Manipur police at the Sawongbung area.

The said accused Anil Sharma had participated in the ambush which had taken place near Paraolen village in Chandel Dist. of Manipur on June 4, 2015.

In the attack, 18 personnel were martyred while 15 others were injured. Meiraba was produced before the NIA court in Imphal which remanded to ten days custody.
