Tata Steel Manufactured Crane Used In Chandrayaan-3
Tata Steel has manufactured the crane used for the successful launch of the LVM3-M4 rocket, dubbed as 'Fat Boy', in the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
The crane was manufactured in Tata Growth Shop in Jamshedpur, the company said on Wednesday. "Our cutting-edge crane technology played a crucial role... We supplied the Electric Overhead Traveling (EOT) crane, which was installed at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) at Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh," it said.

"Through our contribution to the launch... we reaffirm our commitment to fostering India's technological advancement and growth," the company stated. The rocket was launched from Sriharikota on July 14.
Connecting the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3 to the recent visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the US, Sahil Chawla, CEO and Founder of Tsecond, a data-tech innovation startup, said ''the optics are changing.''
California-based Chawla said: ''I think India made history in the afternoon of July 14 at a cost of less than 100 million dollars which is Rs 670 odd crores. We are going to the Moon as a country. It is a game changer for all the space sectors in the world. After Prime Minister Modi came here (US) the optics changed. Any industry, even Indian Americans are looking for new AI which is America India. This kind of success must come in.''
