Supporters cheer as Sonia Gandhi reaches Rae Bareli to file nomination

Rae Bareli, April 2: After her three consecutive wins in 1999, 2004 and 2009 Lok Sabha polls, Congress president Sonia Gandhi is eyeing her fourth win from here.

Witnessing a rousing reception, Sonia arrived in Rae Bareli today to file her nomination and was greeted by thousand of supporters. Rahul Gandhi was seen driving her vehicle as she stopped for a brief moment to greet her supproters.

Thousands of supporters were seen on the streets greeting Sonia Gandhi as she made her way to the party's office. She even stopped at a temple to offer prayers before heading out to the party office.

The security officials had a tough time trying to manage the crowd that was there to catch a glimpse of their leader.

Sonia Gandhi will contest the Lok Sabha election against BJP's Ajay Agarwal.
