'Sunny Leone', Her Husband 'Jonny Sins' Receive ₹1,000/Month Govt Aid In Chhattisgarh. Here's How

In a case of online fraud, it has emerged that a man has been receiving ₹1,000 monthly from the Chhattisgarh government under the name of actress Sunny Leone.

According to The Indian Express, the individual was benefiting from the state government's Mahatari Vandan Yojana.

The irregularity was discovered after the Mahatari Vandan Yojana website was reviewed, revealing the details of a beneficiary registered under the name Sunny Leone, with her husband listed as Jonny Sins, the report stated.

One of the files displayed "Sunny Leone" as the beneficiary's name, with "Jonny Sins" mentioned as her husband's name.

The application was reportedly submitted at the Anganwadi level in the Talur sector of Bastar district and was verified by the Anganwadi and a supervisor. The file indicates the person received the beneficiary amount for ten months, spanning March to December.

Bastar Collector Haris S commented on the matter, saying, "We are looking into the matter."

A senior police official in Bastar also stated that action would be taken if the district administration lodged a formal complaint.

Meanwhile, state Congress president Deepak Baij accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of misusing the scheme for their supporters. In a post on X, Baij alleged, "Mahtari Vandan money is going to BJP's favourites in the name of Sunny Leone."
