's rally collapsed in Sikandarpur on Tuesday Three people were injured, said sources.

Modi was addressing a rally in favour of BJP candidate from Salempur constituency, Ravedra Kushwaha, when the stage collapsed.

The stage collapsed a large number of crowd climbed on to the stage set up for folk singers, when Narendra Modi reached the dais, leading to its collapse.

Three persons - Kamlesh (18), Lakshmi (13) and Ashutosh (20) - were injured in the incident and rushed to a local hospital, where condition of Laksmi is stated to be serious.

Superintended of Police KC Goswami said organisers would be served notice for not preparing the stage as per norms, said a Daily Bhaskar report.
