Shivraj Singh Chouhan Calls AAP-Congress Alliance A 'Thagbandhan'

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticized the AAP-Congress alliance in Delhi, labeling it a "thagbandhan" (alliance of cheats) during his campaign speeches in support of BJP candidates. Chouhan, who spoke at various public meetings across North East Delhi, North West Delhi, and West Delhi Lok Sabha constituencies, accused the AAP of arrogance and referred to it as the "Ahankaari Aadmi Party". His comments were made while campaigning for BJP candidates Manoj Tiwari, Yogendra Chandoliya, and Kamaljeet Sahrawat.

Chouhan's critique extended to the Aam Aadmi Party's decision to form an alliance with the Congress, a party against which it had originally protested. He highlighted the Congress's alleged dissatisfaction with the construction of the Ram temple and its absence from the consecration ceremony of Lord Ram. Furthermore, Chouhan condemned the assault on AAP MP Swati Maliwal and criticized AAP's demonstration led by CM Arvind Kejriwal against the arrest of its leaders.

Labeling AAP as an anti-woman party, Chouhan expressed dismay over the treatment of their own MP at the Chief Minister's residence. He contrasted this with the BJP-led Centre's initiatives for women empowerment, citing schemes that have financially benefited women pursuing education and those that have made numerous women financially independent.

In his speeches, Chouhan also targeted Kanhaiya Kumar, the Congress candidate from North East Delhi, calling him anti-national for allegedly raising anti-India slogans. He praised BJP candidate Manoj Tiwari as a true devotee of India's culture and urged voters to support BJP in the upcoming elections to teach a lesson to Congress.

Chouhan criticized the opposition INDIA bloc for not revealing its prime ministerial candidate and lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for enhancing India's reputation globally. He appealed to voters to support BJP candidates in the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for May 25 in Delhi.
