Shivraj Chouhan Critiques Arvind Kejriwal's Freebie Politics, Urges Voters to Stay Alert
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticised AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, warning Delhi voters about his freebie politics. He accused Kejriwal of building a lavish residence while denying farmers central scheme benefits. Speaking at a rally in Mundka, Chouhan likened Kejriwal to a hunter setting traps with false promises. "Main aapse nivedan karne aaya hun. Is dhokhebaaz ke dhokhe mein phir se mat aa jaana. Ye bada kalakaar hai, Natwarlal… I have come here to plead with you, don't fall again for the false promises of this fraudster. He's quite a dramatist, Natwarlal con man...," he stated.

Chouhan further elaborated on Kejriwal's tactics, saying, "Kejriwal aayega, daan dalega, ye de dunga, wo dunga, jaal bichhayega. Phansoge to nahi? Ab iske jaal mein nahi phansna hai, iski asli surat saamne aa gayi hai." He warned that Kejriwal would offer freebies and set traps but urged people not to fall for them as his true intentions were now visible.
Criticism of Kejriwal's Governance
The BJP leader criticised Kejriwal's governance, claiming he worsened Delhi's condition while enriching himself. "Kejriwal ne to kamal kar diya. Wah re bhaiya Kejriwal, tu to nikla Natwarlal. Delhi ko kar diya bad-haal, khud to ho gaya maalamaal, aur janta ro rahi behaal," he remarked. Chouhan accused Kejriwal of building a 'Sheesh Mahal' for himself with public funds and questioned the misuse of taxpayer money.
Chouhan also highlighted Kejriwal's past anti-corruption stance during Anna Hazare's movement but alleged that he turned out to be corrupt himself. He referenced Kejriwal's jail time related to the Delhi excise policy case and accused him of creating a liquor policy that harmed Delhi residents while profiting from scams.
BJP's Promises for Delhi
Chouhan assured that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Delhi would see development. He promised that all illegal colonies would be legalised and steps would be taken for women's empowerment and free education from kindergarten to postgraduate levels in Delhi. "Farmers will be given rights," he added.
He expressed surprise at Delhi farmers not benefiting from central schemes due to the lack of proposals from Kejriwal's government. Chouhan pledged to ensure farmers receive their dues as they pay commercial rates for power and agri parks.
Chouhan claimed that when he exposed AAP leaders for neglecting farmers' benefits and wrote letters about it, they insulted him and labelled him a terrorist. He questioned what Kejriwal had done for Delhi's people and farmers.
Call for Change
Chouhan urged voters to support BJP for Delhi's development and welfare of its people and farmers. "That's why I have come to tell you: remove 'aapda', defeat AAP…Vote for the BJP for the development of Delhi, welfare of people and farmers," he said.
The BJP leader reiterated that only his party under Modi could fulfil promises and improve conditions in Delhi. He emphasised that if any party worked for public welfare, it was the BJP.
