Shamed by a Garbage Truck, Andhra tax defaulter kills self
Hyderabad, March 30:Municipal officials of Andhra tasted dust while controlling a tax defaulter. Now, they are considered to be at fault when he committed suicide unable to bear the public humiliation meted out on him.
A poultry farmer committed suicide by hanging himself after a garbage truck was parked in front of his house in order to shame him into paying tax.

Adinarayana, 45, a poultry farmer reportedly owed the government around Rs 4 lakh for his farm, located at the Punganur town of Chittoor district of the state. Municipal authorities say that the man missed his deadline a month ago, but applied for an extension just a few days ago. Therefore, on Sunday, local municipal officials decided that he should be publicly highlighted as a tax defaulter.
His family claimed that he was so disturbed that he hung himself. Meanwhile, government officials say that the municipal authorities are under severe pressure of obtaining tax from defaulters, especially at a time when the state is under such economic crisis.
On the flip side, the farmers family members plan to file a case against the officials for driving the farmer to his death.
