Fame to Shame: This famous selfie couple becomes infamous, marriage in trouble

Mumbai, July 22: Remember Satish Apte and Lisa Kapadiya, the famous couple whose one selfie had become viral on social media? Their marriage is in trouble now.

Months after their much-hyped marriage, the couple made headline once again in July 2015. This time a few shocking statements brought down their fame to shame.

The couple's selfie had become viral for their 39-year age difference. 59-year-old Apte got married to 20-year-old Lisa in Jan 2015. Now, it has been reported that it was Apte who had blackmailed Lisa to marry him.

According to police, Apte had filed a missing complaint in March 2015 saying that Lisa had moved out of his house and did not return. However, a major twist in the story shocked everyone when Lisa's sister hurled sexual harassment allegations against him.

Lisa's sister claimed that Apte had molested Lisa when she was 8-year-old. Later he blackmailed her and forced Lisa to marry him. Lisa's sister was quoted as saying, "My sister is with us and under tremendous trauma because of Satish's harassment. He has known us for many years, and tried to sexually abuse Lisa when she was just eight. Later, he blackmailed her into marrying him."

Speaking about the incident, Lisa's sister also said, "My sister does not want to live with this man. The Naupada police have visited us and I have told them the entire story. We will speak when we appear before the police."

While asked about sexual harassment and blackmailing charges against him, Apte overruled such allegations. Meanwhile, police officer was quoted as saying, "The family has said that it will soon appear before the police. We are trying to find out what actually took place between the couple."
