Samajwadi Party Provides Rs 6 Lakh Financial Aid to Families of Road Crash Victims in Gonda District

The Samajwadi Party distributed Rs 6 lakh to families affected by two road accidents in Gonda. The aid included Rs 5 lakh for victims of an August crash and additional support for another incident.

The Samajwadi Party has provided financial support to families affected by two tragic road accidents in the district. On Saturday, Rs 6 lakh was distributed to these families, according to party leaders. The aid included Rs 5 lakh for those impacted by an accident on August 3, where an SUV carrying pilgrims from Siha village fell into a canal in the Itiyathok police area.

The August 3 accident resulted in the loss of 12 lives, including women and children, while four others, including the driver, were injured but rescued. Suraj Singh, a party leader, met with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday to discuss the incident and seek assistance for the victims. Yadav approved Rs 1 lakh each for the heads of five families who lost members in this crash.

Financial Aid for Previous Accident Victims

In addition to the recent accident, the party also allocated Rs 25,000 each to families of four individuals who died in another road accident on the Itiyathok-Khargupur road about a year ago. Local SP leaders handed over these checks to the families in Siha village on Saturday.

During the event, SP district president Arshad Hussain expressed that the party stands with people during both joyous and sorrowful times. "The party stands with the public in times of both happiness and sorrow," he stated.

Government Assistance

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have also pledged financial aid for the victims. The Chief Minister's promised assistance of Rs 4 lakh per family has already been distributed. Meanwhile, local officials mentioned that the process for disbursing funds from the Prime Minister's relief fund is underway.

This financial support aims to provide some relief to those affected by these tragic incidents. The Samajwadi Party's efforts reflect their commitment to supporting communities during difficult times.
