RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Attacks Leftist Influence in Education System
Speaking at a book launch event, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat criticized what he perceives as the leftist ecosystem's intrusion into education. He cited a case where kindergarten students were asked about their private parts as an example of this influence.
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief, Mohan Bhagwat, on Sunday described an educational exercise of finding out whether kindergarten students were aware of their private parts as an attack by the leftist ecosystem. Speaking at the launch of a Marathi book 'Jagala Pokharnari Davi Walvi' (World-Weakening Leftist Termites) in Pune, he expressed his concern over what he perceives as a growing influence of leftists not only against Hindus or Bharat but also globally.
The Controversial Education Exercise

Bhagwat recounted his visit to a school in Gujarat where he was shown instructions given to kindergarten teachers. The directive asked class teachers to find out if KG-2 pupils knew the names of their private parts. "The attack of leftist ecosystem has come this far and it is not possible without the help of the people," expressed Bhagwat. He interpreted such exercises as part of a larger plan by leftists to infiltrate and disrupt traditional Indian values and culture.
Global Impact
Highlighting how these attacks are being made on all auspicious things in "our" culture, Bhagwat drew parallels with recent decisions taken by foreign governments. He cited an example from the United States where after Donald Trump's term ended, one of the first orders issued related to school education guidelines concerning gender identity discussions among pupils.
"Pupils should be able to decide on their own," said Bhagwat referring to these guidelines which stipulate that teachers should refrain from talking about gender with their students. The idea behind this policy change is that children should have autonomy over self-identifying their gender; for instance, if a boy identifies himself as a girl then he should be allowed to use facilities accordingly.
A Call to Action
The RSS chief's comments are a call for vigilance against what he perceives as the leftist ecosystem's detrimental influence on cultural values and norms, both domestically and globally. He believes that these attacks are not just targeted at Hindus or Bharat, but have wider implications for societies worldwide.
In conclusion, Bhagwat's speech at the book launch was an attempt to highlight his concerns about perceived threats from leftists to traditional Indian culture. His comments drew attention to educational practices in schools as well as policy changes in foreign countries which he views as part of a larger global trend of leftist influence. The RSS chief emphasised the need for increased awareness and vigilance against such influences which he believes could potentially undermine societal norms and values.
