Ravi Shankar Prasad, Smriti Irani wield broom; India to follow on October 2

Reportedly, Modi will pick up a broom to launch the "Swachh Bharat (clean India)" mission. And his ministers have come forward to lead the act.
Also, this year, for the first time in the history, October 2 will not be a holiday for government employees. They will have to report to work to take a pledge to work for clean India.
Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday joined his staff in cleaning Shastri Bhawan, the headquarters for several ministries. Prasad swept the corridors of Shastri Bhawan. Education Minister Smriti Irani picked up a broom and cleaned a Kendriya Vidyalaya school as part of the cleanliness drive.
