Ratan Tata, Renowned Industrialist and Philanthropist, Passes Away at 86
Ratan Tata, the esteemed former chairman of Tata Group, passed away on Wednesday night at a hospital in Mumbai. He was 86 years old. A senior police official confirmed that he died at Breach Candy Hospital at 11:30 pm. Tata was renowned for leading the conglomerate to significant achievements and was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Ratan Tata, calling him a visionary leader and a compassionate individual. Modi highlighted Tata's dedication to philanthropy and his passion for dreaming big and giving back to society. He noted Tata's involvement in causes such as education, healthcare, and animal welfare.

N Chandrasekaran, chairman of Tata Sons, expressed deep sorrow over Tata's passing. "It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation," he stated. Chandrasekaran described Tata as a friend and mentor who exemplified excellence and integrity.
Under Ratan Tata's leadership from 1991 to 2012, the Tata Group expanded globally while maintaining its ethical values. His commitment to societal development impacted millions and will continue to benefit future generations. Chandrasekaran praised Tata's unwavering dedication to philanthropy.
