Additionally, the cabinet decided to incorporate the life histories of these martyr queens into school and college curricula, ensuring that their stories are known and celebrated by future generations.

Support for Tribals and Millet Production

In a move to support tribal communities, the cabinet announced an increase in the compensation provided for tendu leaves plucked by tribals. The compensation will be raised to Rs 4,000 per sack bag, resulting in an additional financial burden of Rs 165 crore on the state's exchequer. Furthermore, the cabinet approved the "Rani Durgavati Shree Anna Protsahan Yojana" to promote millet production. Under this scheme, farmers who cultivate millets will receive an incentive of Rs 10 per kilogram.

Infrastructure Development

Recognizing the importance of infrastructure development, the cabinet approved several projects aimed at enhancing the state's road network and irrigation capabilities. Irrigation projects worth Rs 32,000 crore were sanctioned, with the goal of expanding the state's irrigation area to 65 lakh hectares. Additionally, the cabinet allocated Rs 4,500 crore for the construction of new roads, further strengthening Madhya Pradesh's extensive road network, which currently spans 5.1 lakh kilometers.

Sales Tax Concession

In a bid to boost economic activity, the cabinet decided to provide a 50% concession in sales tax for automobiles sold during the renowned Gwalior Mela. This incentive is expected to attract buyers and stimulate sales within the state.

The Madhya Pradesh cabinet's decisions reflect a commitment to honoring historical figures, supporting marginalized communities, promoting education and research, and enhancing infrastructure. These initiatives are expected to have a positive impact on the state's social, economic, and cultural landscape.
