Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Rajasthan Minority Morcha engaged in a physical altercation in front of state president Madan Rathore during a meeting in Jaipur on Thursday.

A video of the incident, shared by news agency PTI, captured the two leaders, Javed Qureshi and Jackie, grabbing each other's collars, slapping, and headbutting one another in full view of party workers.

Onlookers were left stunned as the clash unfolded during a state-level meeting.

The altercation began when Minority Wing leader Jackie attempted to escort state BJP chief Madan Rathore to the stage but was stopped by the wing's state general secretary, Javed Qureshi. A heated exchange ensued before the confrontation escalated into violence.

State Assembly Deadlock Persists

Meanwhile, the deadlock in the Rajasthan Assembly over Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Avinash Gehlot's comments about former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi continued on Thursday, as Congress MLAs boycotted the proceedings and staged a mock session.

Tensions further escalated after Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasra allegedly made "undignified remarks" against Speaker Vasudev Devnani.

Holding placards, Congress MLAs marched towards the Assembly and staged a sit-in outside the premises, chanting slogans and demanding an apology from the minister for his comments.

The Congress legislators also held a mock Question Hour outside the House, with one MLA acting as the "chair" while others posed questions regarding the conduct of ruling BJP leaders.

Leader of Opposition Tikaram Jully stated, "We slept in the Assembly for three days. Talks were held to end the deadlock. Three Opposition leaders expressed regret. Despite this, the minister is not responding."

"I have communicated to the Chief Minister and the Parliamentary Affairs Minister that our doors are open for dialogue. Dotasra ji has also expressed willingness to visit the Speaker's residence to resolve the issue. The government is afraid of its ministers' performance, and they are unable to respond. This is why they do not want the House to function," he added.
