Priyanka Chopra bags the Dadasaheb Phalke Best Actress of the Year Award

Mumbai, April 11: The Quantico girl is going places! After bagging the award for ‘Most Memorable Performance' in her 2011 film "Saath Khoon Maaf", she has now been garnered the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for Best Actress.

She started as a model and then headed on to become one a top Bollywood actress. Her claim to fame has reached overseas as she bagged the lead protagonist in a popular TV serial Quantico and has an upcoming film, Baywatch opposite Dwayne Johnson, in her kitty.

Her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani nailed her achievements. She will be awarded the award on April 24, which is also 147th Dadasaheb Phalke Jayanti.

Taking to Twitter, Priyanka said, "So grateful.. The #DadasahebPhalkeAward is such an honour. #BajiraoMastani #blessed".
