Principal of Government Girls School in Haryana Suspended Over Sexual Harassment Allegations
The principal of a government girls school in Haryanas Jind district has been suspended over allegations of sexual harassment. A committee has been set up to investigate the matter.
In a shocking development from Haryana's Jind district, the principal of a government girls school has been suspended following allegations of sexual harassment against students. The suspension was confirmed by officials on Sunday, October 29. A committee has been set up to investigate these severe accusations further.

A group of female students from the school reportedly sent letters detailing their traumatic experiences to both the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and the National Commission for Women (NCW). These letters prompted swift action from authorities leading to the suspension of the accused principal by the Haryana government on October 27.
Formation of Inquiry Committee
An inquiry committee has also been established to delve into these grave allegations. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate of the area where the school is located will head this committee. Other members include District Education Officer and District Elementary Education officer who are expected to submit a detailed report after investigating these claims thoroughly.
Serious Nature Of Allegations
Jind Deputy Commissioner Mohd Imran Raza spoke about this disturbing incident over a phone call on Sunday. He mentioned that considering how serious these allegations were, he ordered an immediate formation of an inquiry committee.
Raza also shed light on what exactly had been alleged by these girl students. They claimed that their school principal engaged in obscene acts with them which led to their distressing ordeal.
Action Taken Against Accused Principal
Jind Additional Deputy Commissioner Harish Kumar Vashishth revealed more about actions taken against accused principal while speaking with media outlets. He stated that cognizance was taken immediately after receiving complaints from girl students which led to his suspension on Friday itself as charges were very serious in nature.
Vashishth further added that a thorough inquiry would be conducted into these allegations and the government's next course of action will depend on outcomes of this investigation.
Accusations In Letters To PMO And NCW
Sources revealed the contents of letters sent to PMO and NCW by victims. They alleged that accused principal used to call them into his office where he indulged in obscene acts with them. It was also claimed that he blackmailed students by threatening to fail them in their practical exams if they disclosed about his actions to anyone.
The victims have expressed willingness to reveal everything about the principal provided higher authorities from Delhi or Chandigarh come down for meeting them personally. They specifically mentioned not wanting any local teachers or staff members involved in this process, sources added.
In conclusion, this unfortunate incident is a stark reminder of how important it is for schools and educational institutions across India to ensure safety and security of its students at all times. With an official inquiry underway, it is hoped that justice will be served swiftly and efficiently.
