PM Narendra Modi to visit Japan on Aug 30 with high-profile business delegation

New Delhi, August 26: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Japan on August 30, he will be accompanied by a huge business delegation comprising of who's who from the Indian industries.

As per a TOI report, PM Modi has himself chosen the industrialists from a list of total 50.

The report revealed that Modi will be accompanied by Mukesh Ambani, chairman of Reliance Industries, Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani group, Dilip Shanghvi, chairman and managing director of Sun Pharmaceuticals, Azim Premji, chairman of Wipro, Chanda Kochhar, managing director and CEO of ICICI Bank, Shashi Ruia, Chairman of Essar Group, S Ramadorai, vice chairman of TCS and an adviser to the prime minister in the National Council on Skill Development, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, chairman and managing director of Biocon, K Venkataramanan, chief executive officer and managing director of Larsen & Toubro, D K Sarraf, chairman and managing director of ONGC and Sunil Mittal, chairman and group CEO of Bharti Enterprises.

Earlier, Modi was scheduled to visit Japan on August 31, but he preponed it by a day.

During his visit from August 31 to September 3, the Prime Minister will call on Emperor Akihito and hold annual summit meeting with his counterpart Shinzo Abe.

Japanese PM will also host a dinner for Modi.

Modi was earlier scheduled to visit Japan in July but the trip was deffered in view of the Budget session of Parliament.

In May, PM Modi has thanked his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe for extending his good wishes, while saying "strong relations with Japan is beneficial for both our nations."

Since coming in power at the Centre, PM Modi has visited Brazil during BRICS Summit and neighbouring countries Bhutan and Nepal.
