PM Modi watches flight formations at Aero India 2023 in Bengaluru
New Delhi, Feb 13: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 14th edition of Aero India 2023 on Monday.
The 14th edition of India's largest aerospace and defence exhibition, Aero India, tooks off on Monday with inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi bolstering the 'Make in India' campaign and giving a fresh impetus to the domestic aviation sector.

Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai received the Prime Minister, who landed here in a special flight of the Air Force, at the HAL Airport.

"Warm welcome to Hon'ble PM @narendramodi Ji to Karnataka. The PM will inaugurate Aero India-2023 in Bengaluru which will mesmerise the audience with sorties, aerobatic performances & mid-air formations. Our own Light Combat Aircraft Tejas will also be the centre of attraction," Bommai tweeted.
The five-day event will include aerial displays by aircraft and helicopters along with a large exhibition and trade fair of aerospace and defence companies.

As many as 809 exhibitors, including 110 foreign ones, have confirmed their participation at the show at Air Force Station Yelahanka, which is being positioned as a platform for 'Make in India for the world', defence officials said.
This year, the exhibition is expected to be the biggest air show with the highest rate of participation and will feature top international think-tanks, major aerospace companies and world leaders, according to Defence Ministry.
