PM Modi Slams Congress In Rajya Sabha, Says People Prefer Performance Over Propaganda
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a pointed critique of the Congress party and highlighted the key messages from the 2024 Lok Sabha election results.
He argued that the election outcome demonstrated the public's preference for performance over propaganda.

Modi's remarks were made during a parliamentary debate on a motion thanking President Droupadi Murmu for her speech to the joint session of Parliament. He asserted that the election results showed a clear rejection of misleading political tactics, indicating that voters were more concerned with actual performance.
PM Modi tore into the Congress for its statement that India's progress was inevitable regardless of who was in power. He suggested that such a viewpoint could only come from those who governed in a passive manner, relying on "auto-pilot" - implying that Congress did not actively contribute to the country's development during their time in government.
PM Modi stressed BJP's reverence for the Constitution, describing it as more than just a collection of articles. He stated that both the spirit and the words of the Constitution are crucial, likening it to a lighthouse that guides the government. Modi also mentioned the significance of Constitution Day in spreading constitutional values throughout the nation.
The PM pointed out that it was unprecedented in six decades for a government to be re-elected after ten years in power, highlighting the importance of this achievement for the BJP-led NDA.
The PM spoke on ambitious goals for India's future, stating that the mandate from the election was to transform India into a developed and self-reliant nation.
He also mentioned the objective of elevating India from the world's fifth-largest economy to the third-largest, reflecting the government's commitment to substantial economic growth.
