Personal reasons and not 'Blue Whale' may have pushed Mumbai teen to suicide
Investigators have found that personal reasons may have pushed a Mumbai teen to suicide and not Blue Whale Game as suspected earlier. In a twist of sorts in what was touted to be the first 'Blue Whale Suicide' in India, forensic experts have found a deleted suicide note of the 14-year-old from Andheri East.
More than a month after a Mumbai teen jumped to his death sparking off speculations of him being a victim of Blue Whale Game, investigators have found personal reasons could have pushed him to suicide. "We are yet to receive written documents from the Kalina forensic lab but the forensics experts have told the investigating officers about a suicide note. No link to Blue Whale Game had been established but the suicide note mentions personal reasons," Naveen Reddy, DCP Andheri East confirmed to OneIndia.
While the officer refused to speak about the details of the letter, sources reveal that the note may have been written a month ago but the 14-year-old had deleted the same. The note was found after experts revived deleted contents from the 14-year-old's phone. Further investigations of his computer and othet gadgets have also not thrown up any link to the Blue Whale Game.
The Mumbai Police will wait for official reports from the forensic laboratory to comment further on the case. The teen's suicide had been touted as the first case of Blue Whale death in India.
