Pawar to lead 'Samvidhan Bachao' march on Republic Day
Congress MLA Alpesh Thakor, Dalit activist Jignesh Mevani, quota agitation spearhead Hardik Patel, and MP and farmers' leader Raju Shetti are also likely to attend the 'Samvidhan Bachao' march.
In the wake of the recent crisis in the Supreme Court, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, along with CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury, will lead a march in Mumbai on January 26 seeking to protect the country's Constitution.

Four Supreme Court judges had last week held a press conference where they questioned the conduct of the CJI and claimed that their efforts in convincing the latter to take steps to protect the institution have gone in vain.
Congress MLA Alpesh Thakor, Dalit activist Jignesh Mevani, quota agitation spearhead Hardik Patel, and MP and farmers' leader Raju Shetti are also likely to attend the 'Samvidhan Bachao' march, a PTI report said. Rebel JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav, and Tushar Gandhi, the great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, have also been invited to participate in the march.
The government has refrained from commenting on the issue and said that it was an internal matter of the Supreme Court.
Top government sources say that this rift is not a healthy one. There have been attempts made by several legal luminaries to douse the fire. However there are a couple of issues that would require clarity and in such a situation, the government would have to step in.
