But this apology is to the sisters and daughters, and not to the politicians,\". Yadav framed the apology as directed at women, not rivals. Addressing the backlash, Yadav questioned why critics stayed quiet in other incidents. Yadav said, \"If they were so sensitive, why didnt they stand up against atrocities unleashed on women in the recent NEET student death case, and in Darbhanga and Vaishali, among other incidents?\" Yadav used these examples to challenge opponents response on womens safety.

Yadav said the aim was to end political corruption and protect women. The apology followed days of criticism, protests, and official condemnation in Bihar. Yadav maintained that the dispute should focus on actions of leaders accused of wrongdoing. The controversy continued to centre on Yadavs Monday comment and the reaction it triggered.
