Pak dismisses reports of Sharif rejecting bullet proof cars
Islamabad, Nov 20: Pakistan today dismissed reports that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has rejected the bulletproof cars being provided by India for the next week's SAARC summit in Kathmandu, saying no such offer was made. "No such offer was made so there was no question of turning down the offer," Foreign Office spokeswoman Tasnim Aslam told reporters during her weekly briefing.

She also said that Sharif will attend the summit next week in Kathmandu. Earlier reports quoting a Nepalese official said that Sharif will bring his own car after he rejected to use Indian bullet-proof car. India will provide six sophisticated cars to ferry the world leaders during the SAARC summit. SAARC summit will be held from November 26 to 27 in Nepalese capital of Kathmandu.
Nepal will chair the summit of the regional grouping, which has Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka as its members.
