Odisha Lok Sabha Election 2024: BJD To Contest All Assembly And Lok Sabha Seats, Says Pranab Prakash Das

Following the BJP's clarification regarding the possibility of an alliance with the BJD, the ruling BJD in Odisha made a significant announcement, stating its intent to contest in all Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies of the state.

Pranab Prakash Das, the BJD Organizational Secretary, conveyed this decision, emphasizing that the party aims to secure victory in more than three-fourths of the seats under the leadership of Shri Naveen Patnaik.

Das highlighted the party's commitment to serving Odisha and its people, attributing their success to the blessings of Lord Jagannatha and the unwavering support of the populace. He underscored BJD's efforts in transforming the state across various sectors and assured that the welfare of Odisha's residents would remain a top priority in all decision-making processes.

Moreover, Das articulated BJD's vision of a "New Odisha" and an "Empowered Odisha," reiterating their dedication to achieving these goals under the leadership of Naveen Patnaik. The party's focus on cooperative federalism and statesmanship, aimed at nation-building, was emphasized as well.

On the other hand, State BJP President Manmohan Samal had earlier announced the BJP's decision to independently contest all Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in Odisha. Through social media platform X, he expressed the party's commitment to realizing a developed India and Odisha under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

With both parties confirming their independent electoral strategies, attention now shifts to the dynamics between the Chief Minister and top BJP leaders during election campaigns. Whether they will engage in direct criticism or maintain a restrained approach towards each other remains a point of interest.
