Nagpur Factory Explosion: Victim's Family Left in the Dark

In a tragic incident that shook the community of Dhamna village, near Nagpur, a devastating explosion at Chamundi Explosive Pvt Ltd claimed the lives of six workers and left three critically injured. The blast, which occurred at approximately 1pm under the jurisdiction of Hingna police station, has cast a shadow of grief and anger over the area, located about 25 km from Nagpur.

Nagpur Blast: No Word to Victims Family

Among the injured is Pramod Chawre, 35, who is currently receiving medical treatment for severe injuries. Manisha Chawre, his wife, expressed her despair and frustration at the hospital, highlighting that officials from the company had not yet reached out to her or the families of other victims. "My husband has suffered more than 80 per cent burns," she disclosed, revealing the gravity of his condition.

The community's sorrow is palpable, with Manisha Chawre also sharing the emotional toll on their family, especially their two young daughters, aged four and five. The incident has not only caused physical harm but also emotional and psychological distress among the villagers.

Authorities have released the names of those who perished in the blast: Pranjali Kisna Modere, 22; Prachi Srikant Phalke, 19; Vaishali Ananda Kshirsagar, 20; Monali Shankar Alone, 25; Pannalal Bandewar, 60; and Sheetal Ashish Chatap, 30. Each name carries with it stories of unfulfilled dreams and families left to mourn. For instance, Sheetal Chatap leaves behind a 6-year-old daughter, while Monali Alone is survived by two sisters and one brother, with her family working as farm labourers.

The youngest victim, Prachi Phalke's loss is felt deeply by her father, a farm labourer, highlighting the tragedy's impact on already vulnerable communities. Pannalal Bandewar was the oldest among those who lost their lives in this unfortunate event.

The three individuals critically injured in this incident are Shraddha Vanraj Patil, Pramod Chaware, and Dansa Mahraskolhe. Their condition underscores the severity of the explosion and its consequences on workers' lives and safety.

This incident has brought to light concerns regarding workplace safety and the measures in place to protect workers from such catastrophic events. The community's grief is a stark reminder of the urgent need for stringent safety protocols and responsive support systems for victims and their families in the aftermath of industrial accidents.
