Religious Leaders Condemn Violence

Shia cleric Maulana Syed Kalbe Jawad condemned the attack, stating that harming innocents is a grave sin in Islam. He suggested Pakistan might be involved and advocated for a complete boycott if their involvement is confirmed. "This is strictly prohibited in Islam. The killing of an innocent is the biggest sin," he said.

He further emphasised that those responsible cannot truly be Muslims and are tarnishing Islam's image. "Innocents were killed (in the Delhi blast); they had no fault. They cannot be Muslims; they are Muslims just for name's sake," he added.

Investigation and Security Measures

The explosion occurred in an i20 car that entered Delhi from Haryana through Badarpur. Sources revealed that the vehicle was reportedly bought by someone from Pulwama. Based on CCTV footage, 13 individuals are currently under investigation regarding their possible involvement.

A viral social media post suggesting a Lashkar-e-Taiba connection to the blast near Red Fort is also being scrutinised by Delhi Police. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lead a high-level security meeting to evaluate the situation after this tragic event.

Political Implications and Reactions

Maulana Syed Kalbe Jawad expressed concerns about potential unrest during ongoing elections, attributing such incidents to enemy nations aiming to incite riots. "Elections are going on, so they want that some trouble may arise, riots may occur," he stated.

The identity of one deceased individual remains unconfirmed pending DNA analysis. A person associated with the Faridabad module might have been travelling in the i20 car at the time of the explosion.
