Punjab: Molesters throw mother-daughter off bus, daughter dies

Moga (Punjab), April 30: A teenage girl died after allegedly jumping off a running bus with her mother to flee molesters.

In a shocking incident, late on Wednesday, a 38-year old woman was travelling with her 16 year old daughter from Moga to Abohar when the duo felt that the passengers in the sparsely populated bus started misbehaving.

In her statement, the woman said that they informed the conductor, but he did not take any action; instead joined them in the misdeed. While rumors said that the duo jumped off the bus to flee the molesters, the woman stated that they were thrown off.

The bus has been tracked and the registration number is PB 10C 1813, which belongs to the Orbit bus company. The woman and her daughter were found in a critical condition from a village in Gill. They were taken to the Civil Hospital, Baghapurana, where her condition is now stable but serious. Her daughter, however, was declared brought dead.

Latest reports suggest that an FIR has been lodged against the miscreants and hunt is on for the miscreants.
