Modi Govt Tags Muslim League Jammu Kashmir As Anti-National, Unlawful Under UAPA
On Wednesday, the Modi government officially labeled the 'Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masarat Alam faction)' (MLJK-MA) as an 'Unlawful Association' under the UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act).
Home Minister Amit Shah communicated this declaration via a social media platform (referred to as "X" instead of explicitly mentioning Twitter), stating, "The 'Muslim League Jammu Kashmir (Masarat Alam faction)'/MLJK-MA is declared as an 'Unlawful Association' under UAPA. This organization and its members are engaged in activities deemed anti-national and secessionist in J&K, supporting terrorist acts, and inciting individuals to establish Islamic rule in the region."

The PM Narendra Modi government's message is loud and clear that anyone acting against the unity, sovereignty, and integrity of our nation will not be spared and face the full wrath of the law," Shah said.
