Ministry Of Education Cancels UGC-NET June 2024 Exam
Taking cognizance of the cheating and paper leak allegations, the Ministry of Education on Wednesday announced the cancellation of the UGC-NET June Exam 2024. The UGC-NET exam has been canceled a day after it was conducted at over 300 centers across the country.
Earlier, the NTA had admitted that the "integrity of the examination might have been compromised".

To ensure the highest level of transparency and sanctity of the examination process, the Ministry of Education, Government of India has decided that the UGC-NET June 2024 Examination be canceled. A fresh examination shall be conducted, for which information shall be shared separately. Simultaneously, the matter is being handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (C.B.I.) for thorough investigation in the matter.
In a statement, the Ministry of Education, said that the Government is committed to ensure the sanctity of examinations and protect the interest of students. It is reiterated that any individual/organization found to be involved in this matter will face strictest action.
Decisions taken related to controversial NEET 2024:
The ministry has also sought a report from the Bihar Police's Economic Offences Unit regarding alleged irregularities in the conduct of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (UG) 2024 in Patna, officials said. There have been allegations of question paper leaks in states like Bihar and other irregularities in the prestigious exam.
