Man Dies of Electrocution in Delhi's Dwarka; Police Arrest Wife and Cousin on Murder Charges
In a shocking development, authorities have detained the wife and cousin of a man who died from electrocution in Delhi's Dwarka. Police suspect that the duo drugged and murdered him. The incident was reported on July 13 when Mata Rooprani Maggo Hospital in Uttam Nagar informed police about the death of 36-year-old Karan Dev.

According to police sources, Karan was brought to the hospital unresponsive, with the medico-legal case indicating electrocution as the cause of death. Initially, Karan's family did not suspect foul play and even considered waiving the post-mortem examination. However, due to his young age, a post-mortem was conducted at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.
Suspicions Arise
On July 16, Karan's younger brother, Kunal Dev, approached the police with concerns about his brother's death. He had discovered chats between Karan's wife and her partner discussing plans to kill him. This led to further investigation by the authorities.
The senior police officer revealed that Karan's wife and her partner, who is also Karan's cousin, were apprehended for questioning. They allegedly administered sleeping pills to Karan before electrocuting him at his home. After committing the crime, she informed her in-laws about Karan's death, prompting them to take him to the hospital.

A case has been registered under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for murder. The investigation is ongoing as police gather more evidence and question those involved. Deputy Commissioner of Police Dwarka Ankit Singh confirmed these developments.
