Maharashtra Assembly Elections: Ajit Pawar Meets Amit Shah To Discuss Strategy For All 288 Seats
Ajit Pawar clarified that his meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah in Mumbai was strictly about agricultural issues. He mentioned discussing concerns related to cotton and soybean crops and requested not to ban onion imports to ensure fair prices for farmers.
Addressing the upcoming Assembly polls, Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar stated that discussions on all 288 seats with the Mahay are almost complete. He mentioned that only a few seats remain to be discussed, and the exact number will be finalised soon.

Ajit Pawar's Meeting with Amit Shah
Pawar elaborated on his meeting with Amit Shah, stating, "I met Union Home Minister Amit Shah because he had come to Mumbai for Ganpati Darshan. I did discuss some issues related to farming related to cotton, and soybean. I have also requested not to ban the import of onions...We need to see how onion farmers get a good price for their produce...I discussed all these issues..."
He further emphasised that their conversation was limited to farming matters. "There was no such discussion...I did meet Amit Shah yesterday as he was in Mumbai for Ganpati Darshan...I did discuss about some issues related to farming realated to cotton, soyabean..inhave also requested not to ban import of onion .. we need to see how onion farmers gets good price of their produce ...i discussed all this issues .. But as some news paper reported about meeting is false and baseless no facts in it," he added.
Clarification on Election Strategy
When questioned about reports suggesting his party might contest elections alone, Pawar dismissed these claims. He stated that he never made such statements and is focused on ensuring their schemes benefit the people.
Pawar said, "I have never said that I will contest alone ...those who are making such statements, you must ask them ..I have no reason to respond to others's statment...we are focused on making sure our schemes reach people for their benefits."
The Deputy CM reiterated that they would sit together soon to finalise discussions on the remaining seats. This collaborative approach aims at ensuring a comprehensive strategy for the upcoming elections.
Pawar's emphasis on agricultural issues highlights his commitment to addressing farmers' concerns. His request regarding onion imports reflects an effort to stabilise prices and support local farmers.
The ongoing discussions within the Mahayuti alliance indicate a strategic approach towards the Assembly polls. By addressing both electoral strategies and agricultural concerns, Pawar aims at a balanced focus on governance and election preparedness.
This blend of political strategy and attention to farming issues underscores Pawar's multifaceted approach as Maharashtra heads towards crucial elections.
