Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Sixth Phase Sees 63.37% Voter Turnout, Says EC
The Election Commission released the final voter turnout figures for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections, which took place on May 25 across 58 constituencies. The overall voter turnout was reported at 63.37 per cent.
According to the Election Commission, male voter turnout was 61.95 per cent, while female voter turnout was higher at 64.95 per cent. The voter turnout for the third gender was 18.67 per cent.

West Bengal recorded the highest voter turnout at 82.71 per cent, while Uttar Pradesh saw a turnout of 54.04 per cent in 14 constituencies. Delhi recorded a turnout of 58.69 per cent, Haryana 64.80 per cent, Odisha 74.45 per cent, and Jharkhand 65.39 per cent.
The Election Commission also addressed concerns raised by some opposition parties regarding the possibility of voter turnout data being manipulated. It assured that the process of collecting and storing the votes polled is rigorous, transparent, and participative.
The voter turnout data has been available on the Voter Turnout App since the beginning of the Lok Sabha polls on April 19. The seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections is scheduled for June 1, with the counting of votes set for June 4.
