Lok Sabha Elections 2024: PM Modi Set For Four Rallies Across Karnataka Between March 15 To 19

Between March 15 and 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated to visit Karnataka four times to campaign for the party ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Several rallies will be held by the PM in South India during this period, with four rallies scheduled in the state.

The campaign for the Lok Sabha elections was initiated by PM Modi even before the Election Commission of India announced the election schedule. Various developmental projects have been inaugurated by him during visits to several states. Extensive campaigning in South India is scheduled for PM Modi between March 15 and 19, during which he will address at least four mega rallies in Karnataka, as reported by News9.

According to BJP sources, gatherings will be addressed by the PM in Kolar on March 15, in Shivamogga on March 17, in Bidar on March 18, and in Dharwad on March 19. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP performed well in the state, securing 25 out of 28 seats, as reported by News9.

Congress and JDS secured one seat each, while the third seat was won by independent candidate Sumalatha from Mandya, who received outside support from the BJP. With an alliance formed with the JDS in Karnataka, the BJP aims to either retain its existing seats or improve its tally.

The announcement of candidates for Karnataka by the BJP is still pending. Today, the BJP central election committee meeting is slated to take place in Delhi, with expectations that around 15 names may receive clearance. Many BJP leaders and potential candidates have gathered in Delhi to engage in lobbying efforts.
