Lashkar commander Abu Dujana's cover was blown after a meeting with his wife

However his cover was blown when he had gone to meet with his wife at Hakipora in Pulwama district.

The killing of Abu Dujana, the Lashkar-e-Tayiba commander was one of the biggest operations that the security forces carried out in Kashmir in recent times. Dujana had become a menace and his targeting of the Indian Army had become too brazen.

Getting Dujana was not easy as he was known for his mastery when it came escaping. In the two and half years that he was commander, he has managed to give the security forces the slip on 20 occasions.

However his cover was blown when he had gone to meet with his wife at Hakipora in Pulwama district. His movements were being monitored and the security forces with the help of intelligence inputs got wind of his location when he landed at a house where his wife was believed to be staying.

Dujana had married a Kashmiri girl recently. The police are however not certain if he had come to meet his wife or some other girl. We will check on it said Kashmir's Director General of Police, S P Vaid.

Dujana had married the woman who hails from Singoo village near Kakapora in Pulwama. The marriage took place sometime in 2016, when Dujana has not rocketed to fame.
