Lalu Prasad gets 5 years in jail in fodder scam case
The court also granted four years in jail to former Bihar chief minister Jagannath Mishra and five years to BN Sharma, KM Prasad and Beck Julius respectively and handed out judgement to all the other accused in the fodder scam.
Lalu Prasad Yadav has become the second MP to lose seat after Rasheed Masood was sentenced to four years in jail in the MBBS admission scam on Tuesday.
RJD party members cried foul and said that their leader was innocent and said that this was a conspiracy against him. The party members have said that they will now appeal to the higher court.
