A day after Ramdev called Lalu as "kans", the latter slammed former by saying, "Ramdev is going on the path of Asaram and will meet the same fate."

Besides, Lalu also alleged that Ramdev's Patanjali Yogpeeth solds "some poisonous substance" in its flour.

"In the robes of a sadhu, he is playing Modi's political guru these days. People should mark the difference between a real holyman and an imposter like Ramdev," he further said while talking to reporters in Patna.

Earlier this week, Ramdev had sparked off controversy by comparing Lalu with "Kans", the evil maternal uncle of the Lord Krishna.

He said, "Lord Krishna, Kans and Lalu have the common origins, but Lalu has been influenced more by Kans than Krishna...Lalu has Kans' genes."

"Lalu was busy in "Sonia-bhakti (worship of Congress president Sonia Gandhi)" and is "ignorant about the country's fate", Ramdev added.

Ramdev even asked former Bihar CM Lalu to support Narendra Modi's candidature for the PM post in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
