Lalu Prasad Critiques Nitish Kumar's Mahila Samvad Yatra, Faces Backlash from JD(U) and BJP Leaders

Lalu Prasad, the RJD president, recently criticised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's planned Mahila Samvad Yatra. He suggested it was merely an excuse for Kumar to ogle at women. This comment sparked strong reactions from the ruling BJP and JDU, who accused Prasad of disrespecting women in Bihar.

Lalu Prasad Critiques Nitish Kumars Yatra

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed his disapproval, stating, "We knew Lalu ji is physically ill. But today he has shown that he has a sick mind." Bihar BJP president Dilip Jaiswal echoed this sentiment, saying that Prasad's remark revealed his mindset and insulted women by targeting the chief minister.

Political Reactions to Lalu Prasad's Comment

Union Minister Giriraj Singh, who previously served in Kumar's cabinet, expressed his disgust at Prasad's statement. He exclaimed "Chhi! Chhi! Chhi! shame" and remarked that only Lalu Prasad could make such derogatory comments about Nitish Kumar. Singh further criticised Prasad as a selfish individual with a tainted past.

JDU leader Neeraj Kumar also condemned Prasad's words. He suggested that Prasad should direct his attention towards the Congress instead of criticising Nitish Kumar. Neeraj Kumar added that while Prasad was imprisoned, his mind remained stuck in Charwaha Vidyalaya, a school for cattle grazers.

Nitish Kumar's Upcoming Mahila Samvad Yatra

The Mahila Samvad Yatra is scheduled to begin on December 15. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar plans to use this initiative to assess the progress of the government's 7-Resolves programme. The yatra aims to engage with women and understand their perspectives ahead of next year's assembly elections.

The controversy surrounding Lalu Prasad's comment highlights the ongoing political tensions in Bihar. As the state gears up for the assembly polls, leaders continue to exchange sharp remarks, reflecting deep-seated rivalries and differing political ideologies.
