Arvind Kejriwal Will Vote For Congress, Rahul Gandhi To Support AAP In 2024 Polls: Raghav Chadha

In a significant political development, AAP MP Raghav Chadha, in his first electoral meeting since his return from the UK after undergoing eye surgery, made a bold statement regarding the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections. During a rally in South Delhi, Chadha announced that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi would cross-vote for each other's parties in the national capital's polls. This revelation came as Chadha rallied support for AAP's Lok Sabha candidate Sahi Ram Pahalwan, emphasizing the election's importance in safeguarding the country and its Constitution.

Vote Swap Between AAP and Congress

Chadha's address to the audience underscored the critical role of their vote in shaping the future of their children. His appearance marked a return to active campaigning following concerns about his health due to a severe eye condition that had raised fears of potential blindness. However, Chadha was seen participating in an AAP protest near the BJP headquarters just days before this announcement.

The AAP leader highlighted the financial savings Delhi residents have enjoyed under AAP's governance, including reductions in electricity, medicine, and water costs, alongside free bus travel for women. These benefits were presented as part of AAP's appeal for voter support in the upcoming elections. Chadha specifically urged voters to choose the AAP symbol on May 25, suggesting a strategic voting pact where Rahul Gandhi would vote for AAP, and conversely, Kejriwal would vote for Congress.

Reflecting on his previous electoral performance, Chadha recalled his 2019 defeat in South Delhi to BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri but expressed confidence in a significant victory for the Congress-AAP alliance this time around. With all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi set to be contested on May 25, Chadha's statements have added an intriguing layer to the political landscape, suggesting a collaborative effort between AAP and Congress against their common rival.
