Arvind Kejriwal calls BJP, Congress puppets of Mukesh Ambani

Kejriwal addresses Rohtak rally
Rohtak, Feb 23: The Aam Aadmi Party launches its national campaign on Sunday from Haryana, with party chief Arvind Kejriwal addressing a rally in Rohtak.

This was Kejriwal's first rally after he resigned as Delhi Chief Minister.

4.20 pm:

Arvind kejriwal concludes his speech with chants of 'Bharat Mata Ki jai'.

4.15 pm:

Manish Sisodia was roaming on the streets of Delhi in the mniddle of the night and checking if anyone is sleeping on the roads. Friends, do you know of any politician who stays with his people even at that point of night?

And even then, politicians say that Kejriwal does not know how to govern the system.

4.10 pm:

They say Kejriwal doesn't know how to run a government. But ask the people of Delhi what changes have come in one and half month. A popular survey says there has been a huge fall in corruption in Delhi.

Police had stopped taking bribes, there were no goons outside passport office. The people of Delhi are very happy with me.

4.05 pm:

I asked Modi and Rahul 3 questions:

  • Will you give Ambani 4$ or 8$ for LPG if you form the government?
  • How do you get so much money to spend so much on their rallies?
  • What is the relation between your party and Mukesh Ambani?

Neither of them have replied to my letter yet. We need accounts from these politicians now.

4.00 pm:

Narendra Modi says he is a tea seller. How come a tea seller has so much money and so many helicopters? Mukesh Ambani gives money to Modi. Ambani has Modi in one pocket and Rahul in another pocket.

Modi says he will bring back all the money from Swiss Banks if he forms the government. I want to ask Modu if he will bring back the money from Mukesh Ambani's account?

3.55 pm:

Neither Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi nor Manmohan Singh is running the country. Mukesh Ambani is running the country and we have to end his rule. Politicians say that I call everyone corrupt. Well, you obviously whould have taken money. Why else will you take the entire budget and put it in front of Mukesh Ambani.

3.50 pm:

Congress taking away common man's land and giving it away to businessmen and Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law. They make fun of our crops and agriculture. Big people get a subsidy of six lakh crore Rs and farmers get a cheque of Rs 10 when their crops fail.

3.45 pm:

Arvind Kejriwal starts speaking. Says it's time to end traditional politics in Haryana now. Talks about his association with Haryana. Crowd applauds.

3.30 pm:

Yogendra Yadav and Manish Sisodia address a crowd of nearly 5000 people present at the rally. They talk about corruption, ruling family and Congress and the government of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. They also lead the people to pass a no-confidence motion against Hooda and his government.

2.30 pm:

Massive crowd gathers and waits for Arvind Kejriwal to reach the spot. 'Aam Aadmi' songs were being played to keep people engaged. Senior AAP leader Yogendra Yadav tells supporters that three roads leading to Rohtak blocked to create obstruction for the rally. People stopped from attending the rally.

AAP leadership has carefully chosen Haryana to be its next political battleground after its near stunning show in the Delhi elections in December 2013.

Rohtak is being represented by Deepender Singh Hooda, son of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Mr Kejriwal, who recently resigned as the Delhi Chief Minister, too hails from Haryana, the Congress-ruled state where AAP is looking to expand its base.

In the run up to the Delhi polls, the majority of the AAP volunteers came from Haryana. Its party convenor, Arvind Kejriwal too hails from Haryana. Yogendra Yadav has already been announced as AAP candidate from Gurgaon in Haryana.

The party plans to fight all 10 Lok Sabha seats and all 90 Assembly seats here.
