Kanhaiya Kumar to meet Rahul Gandhi at his residence

New Delhi, March 22: JNU Students' Union president Kanhaiya Kumar is expected to meet Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, March 22.

While the reason behind the meeting is not clear, it may be noted that Congress party may want to join hands with Kumar, who took on Narendra Modi's government and the RSS.

Kanhaiya will be accompanied by delegations from the JNUSU and AISF.

Kumar was recently released from jail after he was booked on charges of sedition.The meeting between him and Gandhi will take place at the latter's residence. While Kanhaiya was in jail, Rahul Gandhi had come out in support of Kanhaiya and the unrest in JNU.

Gandhi had joined the protest march demanding the release of Kumar from jail.

Meanwhile, Kumar owed to wage a battle for scrapping of the sedition law under which he and two other PhD scholars of the university were arrested last month in connection with a controversial event.
