Jharkhand Election: Hemant Soren To Resume Campaign For INDIA Bloc Despite Ill-Health

Chief Minister Hemant Soren is set to resume his campaign for INDIA bloc candidates after taking a two-day break due to health issues, as he announced on Monday.

"I've been unwell over the past couple of days. I'm still feeling under the weather, but commitment comes first. I will address four public meetings today," Soren stated in a post on his social media.

According to a Times of India report, Soren's first rally will take place at the Polytechnic College Ground in Godda at 12:05 pm, followed by another at the Model College Ground in Poreiyahat, Godda, both in support of Congress candidates Dipika Pandey Singh and Pradeep Yadav, who are set to file their nominations on Monday.

The Chief Minister will then campaign for JMM candidates Hafizul Hassan and Bebi Devi, addressing gatherings at Aam Bagan Maidan in Madhupur, Deoghar, and at the HSKB High School Ground in Dumri, Giridih district. Hafizul and Bebi will also file their nomination papers on Monday.

Last Friday, Soren cancelled a planned rally in Petarwar, Bokaro, due to Cyclone Dana, which grounded his helicopter in Ranchi. The nomination period for the 38 assembly seats, which will go to the polls on November 20, closes on Tuesday.

Several prominent figures are expected to file their papers on Monday, with 93 candidates having submitted nominations for the second phase by the evening of 25 October.
