'Jawan' 1st Day Box Office Collection: Shah Rukh Khan-Starrer Gets Gigantic Opening
Shah Rukh Khan's latest movie 'Jawan' is off to a gigantic start at the worldwide box office. The early estimates indicate that the movie has become the all-time biggest opener of King Khan's career.
Released in over 4500 screens in India, the movie has been overwhelmingly received by the fans of Shah Rukh, who had earlier this year delivered a blockbuster in the form of 'Pathaan'. It was clearly evident after the advance booking of tickets met with fantastic response from the audience in the North belt, Mumbai, Andhra and parts of Karnataka.

It has to be noted that over 5.57 lakh tickets were sold from PVR and Cinepolis multiplex chains before the film's release.
Talking about the opening, Sumit Kadal, trade analyst, said on X: "Film is Running with 70-80% occupancy across India. Evening & Night shows will run with optimum capacity. Day-1 All India collection is going to be HISTORIC. #ShahRukhKhan will beat his own All time day -1 record of #Pathaan with a ENORMOUS ₹ 20-25 cr Margin."
According to leading trade tracker Taran Adarsh, the movie has minted Rs 29.40 crore from the two leading multiplex chains - PVR and Cinepolis. While it earned Rs 23.50 crore from the PVR chains, it made Rs 5.9 crore from Cinepolis.
The early estimation coming from the industry claims that the movie might have earned over Rs 60 crore on the day at the India box office alone. It means the movie has shattered the opening day record of 'Pathaan' which had minted Rs 55 crore on the first day.
The film was released in Telugu and Tamil languages as well. Interestingly, the film has got a flying start in Andhra and Telangana where the film is estimated to have earned around Rs 15 crore. Overall, the first-day collection of the multilingual flick in India is expected to be over Rs 75 crore.
'Jawan' is directed by Atlee Kumar. The action thriller has Nayanthara in the female lead while Vijay Sethupathi has done an important character in the flick.
