Jammu and Kashmir govt: PDP sets 6 conditions to form alliance with BJP
Jammu, Dec 26: PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti on Friday, Dec 26 set six conditions for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form alliance with her party. PDP, which won the highest number of seats in the recently held assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, has been trying to all best options to form the government in the state.
PDP's conditions for BJP came just a day after Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's statement that BJP would play a crucial role in forming government in Jammu and Kashmir.

The six conditions set by PDP are:
- CM will be from PDP and he/she should be allowed to complete full six years.
- Centre has to allocate additional 9,800 crore flood relief for the state.
- Status quo on art/370.
- Immediate withdrawal of AFSPA in some areas.
- Non interference of Jammu Ministers in Kashmir development issues and vice versa.
- Among 3 PDP MPs, 2 must be Union Ministers.
Jaitley on Dec 25 said, "Our votes is higher than those who have contested all the seats. Our strike rate is high. We have the highest popular vote. We have an overwhelming mandate in the Jammu region while the Valley has been divided between PDP (25 seats), National Conference (15) and independents (5)."
"Whoever forms the government, BJP will have a crucial role to play in view of the fact that it has the highest popular vote in the elections."
"We will go (ahead on the issue of government formation) with three principles based on national and state interest. They are: strengthening of national sovereignty, development and regional balance," he said.
Without revealing the strategy, the Minister said the party was in touch with unattached members but described as inaccurate reports that it was in discussions with other party leaders in the state.
Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir GovernorN N Vohra invited PDP and BJP, the first and second largest parties in the elections. Vohra has sent invitation separately to PDP Patron Mufti Mohd Sayeed and state BJP chief Jugal Kishore "for holding discussions on the proposal for government formation," a Raj Bhavan official said on Friday.
