Jammu And Kashmir, Doda Terror Attack: 4 Army Personnel Martyred In 6th Major Terrorist Attack In 2024

Following the deaths of 4 army personnel, including an officer-rank soldier, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday spoke to the Army chief and allowed a free hand to deal with the situation. According to the reports, the Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched a joint operation following a tip at Dhari Gote Urarbagi in Desa forest belt to hunt terrorists.

Army and terrorists were engaged in a gun battle, before terrorists ran and hide in the jungle.

Taking cognizance of the matter, Defence Minister Singh dialled Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi and permitted him to take every action needed.

"Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh spoke to CoAs, General Upendra Dwivedi this morning. RM was apprised of the ground situation and the ongoing Counter Terrorist Op in Doda by the Army Chief," Rajnath Singh's office said on X.

    The brave heart soldiers who died while protecting our nation were Naib Subedar Anand Singh, Havaldar Kamal Singh, Rifleman Anuj Negi, Naik Vinod Singh, and Rifleman Adarsh Negi, all hailing from Uttarakhand.

    Joint teams of the army, Central Reserve Police Force, and Jammu and Kashmir Police are still looking for terrorists in Kathua with the help of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and helicopters. Search teams on ground are also using sniffer dogs to locate and eliminate terrorists at the earliest.
