Jagan Mohan Reddy Criticises Andhra Government for Vendetta Politics and Governance Failures
YSRCP leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has criticised the TDP-led government in Andhra Pradesh for alleged political vendettas and governance failures. During a Political Affairs Committee meeting, he accused the state administration of creating false cases to intimidate opponents rather than focusing on public welfare schemes. He claimed that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has not fulfilled electoral promises and is neglecting various societal groups.

Jagan Mohan Reddy highlighted recent arrests of senior YSRCP leaders as evidence of what he termed vindictive politics. He further alleged that the police have become enforcers for mafia-like activities in sectors such as liquor, sand, rice, and gambling, which he claims has led to a breakdown of public institutions. The former CM also pointed out that key initiatives like Nadu-Nedu works and the Aarogyasri scheme have been stalled.
YSRCP App Launch
In response to these issues, Jagan announced the launch of a YSRCP app designed for citizens to report harassment. This initiative aims to ensure accountability and justice while also calling for a strengthening of the booth-level structure within the party. He emphasised the importance of this tool in empowering citizens to voice their concerns directly.
Jagan Mohan Reddy criticised Naidu's financial management, stating that 52 per cent of YSRCP's five-year borrowings were spent within just 14 months. This spending occurred despite stagnant state revenue and a growth rate of only three per cent. He expressed concern over the financial sustainability of such practices.
The former CM's remarks reflect his dissatisfaction with the current government's approach to governance and public welfare. By highlighting these issues, he aims to draw attention to what he perceives as significant shortcomings in the administration's policies and actions.
Jagan Mohan Reddy's statements underscore his commitment to addressing these challenges through party initiatives and citizen engagement. His focus remains on ensuring that governance aligns with public welfare and accountability.
