ISI spy ring: Delhi police hot on trail of retired havaldar

New Delhi, Dec 3: The Delhi police is hot on the trail of a retired havaldar and a school teacher from Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir in connection with the ISI spy ring case.

A team of the Crime Branch is in Rajouri and making attempts to nab the duo after it was found that they had allegedly controlled the spy ring in India.

Delhi police officials tell OneIndia that the arrest of these two persons is very crucial as they hold a lot of information relating to how the spy ring operated in India. The arrest of an alleged ISI spy, Kaifatullah Khan had revealed the names of the duo from Rajouri. The Delhi police suspect that the duo had under their control several more spies.

The Delhi police will also expand the ambit of the probe to various other parts of the country. Teams would be sent to West Bengal, Darjeeling, Rajasthan and even Uttar Pradesh in search of more possible ISI spies, the source also confirmed.

Meanwhile the investigations that are being conducted are making headway and the police have discovered more incriminating material. Maps of various railway stations and also information relating to the movement of the BSF have been found on the laptop of Khan.

The police say that these spies were constantly seeking out information on the movement of the BSF. This information fetched the most money and some officials had even demanded Rs 2 lakh for such information.

The police are also probing to find out if these spies had other plans in India apart from collecting information. Investigations have revealed that some of the spies had even planned on carrying out abductions in a bid to claim ransom and raise money for their operations.
