IndiGo Pilot Dies After Collapsing At Nagpur Airport

In a deeply saddening incident, an IndiGo pilot passed away after collapsing near a boarding gate at Nagpur Airport in Maharashtra on Thursday. According to authorities, the pilot was swiftly transported to KIMS-Kingsway Hospital, yet despite efforts, his life could not be saved.

Aejaz Shami, the hospital's spokesperson, indicated that initial findings suggest the pilot succumbed to a "sudden cardiac arrest." Shami further noted that the pilot was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital.

In the interim, officials revealed that the 40-year-old pilot, slated to operate IndiGo's Nagpur-Pune flight, experienced the collapse around noon while situated in the security hold area.
