India To Achieve Top Global Rank By 2047 Under PM Modi’s Vision, Says Chandrababu Naidu
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, during a gathering in Mydukur, Kadapa district, expressed his confidence in India's potential to emerge as the world's leading or second-leading economy by 2047 under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's stewardship. He emphasized the importance of collaboration between the state and central governments, termed "double-engine Sarkars", as a catalyst for achieving double-digit growth rates. Naidu highlighted the significance of the NDA's success in securing 21 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state, describing it as a vital lifeline similar to the mythical Sanjeevani.
Naidu, reflecting on the contributions of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to national development, pointed out that despite being a regional party with one crore members, it maintains a national perspective. He reminisced about the TDP's partnership with the NDA from 2014 to 2019, expressing his aspiration to see the Telugu people excel globally under Modi's leadership. "I do not doubt that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India will become the number one or two economy by 2047, and my ambition is to see Telugu people in the number one position globally," he affirmed.

Strengthening Infrastructure for Growth
Naidu provided updates on key infrastructure projects, stating that the Polavaram irrigation project is on track for completion within the next two years, backed by a Rs 12,200 crore allocation from the Centre for its first phase. He revealed that construction work on the diaphragm wall of the project has commenced. Furthermore, he shared plans for the interconnection of the state's rivers, mentioning that the Godavari and Krishna rivers have already been linked and that efforts are underway to connect the Godavari and Penna rivers.
The Chief Minister also underscored the central government's support for numerous state initiatives, including the Polavaram irrigation project and a financial package for the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. This assistance, he argued, is indicative of the benefits of having aligned governments at both the state and national levels, which he believes are crucial for fostering development across Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu paid homage to TDP's founder, NT Rama Rao, citing his pioneering policies such as the introduction of reservations for women and backward communities in local body elections. He praised Rao's legacy for setting a benchmark that has inspired nationwide policy adaptations.
Naidu's optimistic projections for India's economic trajectory and his advocacy for a synergistic relationship between the state and central governments underline his vision for Andhra Pradesh's and India's future prosperity. His emphasis on strategic infrastructure projects and policy reforms reflects a comprehensive approach to development that aligns with his ambition of establishing the Telugu people and India at the forefront of the global stage by 2047.
