Hurriyat terror fund: Praying for prosperity of Pak was part of calendar
The separatists had issued several protest calendars since July 2016 following the death of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist, Burhan Wani. The calendars are now part of the probe by the National Investigation which is looking into the Hurriyat terror funding case.
During the raids conducted on the residence of Altaf Ahmed Shah, the son-in-law of Hurriyat hawk, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, the NIA unearthed several protest calendars.
NIA officials say that the calendars called for protests all through 2016. As per the calendar, there would be one event organised every day. The separatists had taken on board clerics too with an intention of radicalising the youth.
The calendar of protests would be issued from Friday to Friday. It would call for praying for the prosperity or Pakistan and also a complete shutdown of the Valley.
In addition to this several protest meets urging the officials not to join duty. Further the calendar would also have 'Azaadi' programmes, the NIA officials also said. These protest calendars were prepared in a systematic manner to ensure that the Valley was on the boil all the time, the NIA official also informed.
